P.A.C.K. Pride at St. Joseph School-Fullerton: How We Celebrate Positive Behavior
At St. Joseph School-Fullerton, we believe that positive behavior should be recognized and celebrated. That’s why we proudly follow the Maryland PBIS model, Positive Behavioral Intervention System, a statewide initiative that supports strong student development by focusing on the good choices our students make every day.
At the heart of our PBIS program is a powerful motto inspired by our beloved mascot, Wolfie: “We are All Part of the P.A.C.K.”
“P.A.C.K.” stands for:
Pray
Accept Responsibility
Cooperate
Keep Trying
These values are woven into everything we do at St. Joseph, from classroom routines to school-wide events. Every morning, our announcements include reminders of these key traits, reinforcing a culture where kindness, responsibility, and perseverance are the norm.
One of the most exciting parts of our PBIS program is the P.A.C.K. ticket system. Faculty and staff are always on the lookout for students who are living out our P.A.C.K. values. When they see these behaviors in action, whether it’s helping a classmate, showing leadership, or sticking with a difficult task, students may be awarded a P.A.C.K. ticket.
Each week our Principal draws several names from the ticket pool. The selected students get to choose a prize and pose for a group photo to commemorate their accomplishment. It’s a fun, meaningful way to recognize those who go above and beyond in making our school a better place.
By focusing on the positive and making it a visible part of daily life, our PBIS program strengthens the strong sense of community at SJSF. We’re proud to be part of a P.A.C.K. where students are celebrated not just for what they do, but for who they are becoming.
